Lake-Strong Girls: Nyasuba Foundation’s Promise for Education, Health, and Hope

Our story beside the lake

We are rooted in Suba, yet our arms extend across Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya, and Kisumu—bringing education, health, talent, and advocacy to every girl who longs to learn and lead.

Born of Pauline Atieno’s vision, Nyasuba Foundation strengthens classrooms, mentorship circles, and safe spaces so girls can pursue school, health, and talent pathways with dignity. Each program is threaded with safeguarding, transparent reporting, and community dialogue, and every outcome is measured against the promise that a girl empowered today uplifts an entire lake community tomorrow.

From scholarship linkages and menstrual health kits to new field hockey plans and environmental action days, we coordinate with local partners, schools, and families so support reaches even the remotest shores, while our Mbita-based team keeps donors, volunteers, and partners updated through honest reports and responsive care.

Our approach continues to champion girls across the lakeshore

Rooted in Suba, guided by purpose
We pour proven, community-centered care into every learning space, mentorship circle, and outreach they step into.

From Mbita’s classrooms to the wetlands of Ngodhe, our team keeps accountability, child safeguarding, and transparent storytelling front and center so families and supporters see the proof of rising attendance, healthier girls, and spark-filled futures.

Movement vision
We are knitting an ever-wider circle of lake-region communities where girls feel empowered, healthy, and steady as they chase education, sport, and civic leadership.

That means growing safe learning halls, launching the 2026 field hockey plan, deepening menstrual and mental health support, and stepping into environmental action days—all with inviting, inclusive, and accountable communication so partners know exactly how their generosity translates into resilient girls across Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya, Kisumu, and beyond.

OUR PARTNERS IN SUBA’S GIRL-LED MOVEMENT

Impact by the numbers

Every statistic extends the Suba sunrise—proof that girls across Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya, and Kisumu are gaining safe spaces, mentorship, and the resources to lead. These milestones connect to classrooms at Ngodhe, the lakeshore communities, and the future hockey pitches we are building together.
